Most yoga teacher trainings don’t address how to develop and maintain a small business. They also don’t prepare students for the reality that small business life can be lonely, stressful, and confusing - a true “if you know, you know” experience. There’s no rule book for small businesses, especially in emerging professions like yoga therapy! I’ve been exploring creative alternatives to the “yoga teacher training to studio contractor” pipeline since 2018.

I’m not a full time business coach or marketing strategist. I’m a yoga professional first and foremost. I’ve also been a peer mentor throughout my working life - while serving in the Peace Corps, training mentees in the corporate world, and now as an advisor for the non profit business incubator at Prototype PGH. Through peer mentorship, I support you in clarifying the goals for your business, considering different strategies as a yoga teacher or therapist, and tapping into the language of your client community. I’m also very passionate about ethical small business ownership, accessibility in pricing structures, and collaboration over competition!
